2024-25 CAHA Champions

The Santa Barbara Ice Hawks 14UA ice hockey squad completed its perfect season with a 5-1 win over the Tri-Valley Blue Devils in the State Amateur Hockey Association Championship last weekend in San Jose.

The Ice Hawks dominated throughout the year, as they did not trail a game at any point during the season.

“We’ve worked hard all season to get to this point, and it’s incredible to see everything come together,” Santa Barbara head coach Eric Valois said.

“The defense was outstanding, the offense clicked, and the team showed real resilience. It’s an honor to coach such a talented group of players.”

In the title game, Tyler Annett and Amsterdam Sweet each scored a pair of goals, while Easton Petersen notched a goal of his own to round out the scoring.

The 14UA team wasn’t the only Santa Barbara Ice Hawks squad to experience success this season as the 12UBB, 14UB and 18UAA teams all made runs to the State Championships.

“Our success across all four teams is a testament to the hard work of our players, coaches, and families,” Ice Hawks President Bryce Wendel said. “It’s amazing to see our program continue to grow, and we’re excited for what the future holds.

“Every one of these players worked incredibly hard, and we’re so proud of what they’ve achieved.”
